The Outreach Committee meets once a month to plan and execute events with the community and the Lamb of God congregation to:
- Work with Mt. Olive Feeding Ministry, located at 2442 2nd Street in Slidell, to purchase food, cook and serve a lunch meal once a quarter.
- Donate pantry items once a month to Christian Community Concern, located at 2515 Carey Street, Slidell. Members of the church generously give non-perishable food items to the church narthex. Each month, the food is delivered to Community Christian Concern for their Food Pantry. The Food Pantry at Community Christian Concern provides eligible individuals and families with two weeks of food every four months. Single parent households are eligible for additional assistance. www.cccslidell.org
- Donate monthly to Slidell Ladies for Liberty for soldiers serving abroad. www.slidellladiesforliberty.org
In addition, the committee plans 3-4 missions to support during the years with time, talent and treasures. We also provide free Bibles, devotions booklets, Christian literature and community resource information in our Peace Library located at the front of the church property. The same information is always provided at community events held at Lamb of God.
